In Person Group Therapy in Seattle for Parents Estranged from their Adult Children

Location: in person, 1424 NE 155th St, Shoreline, WA 98155 

Cost is $75 per session, $375 total for five 80 minute groups

Format: 10 minute psychoeducation on topic related to parent-adult child estrangement, followed by group process for 60 minutes, with 10 minutes closing and reflections for week ahead.

Tuesdays 4:15 - 5:35pm; closed group limited to 8 participants beginning July 14
Dates: July 14, 21, 28, August 4 and 11

Andrea Johnson Adams, MS, LMHC is a therapist in private practice with expertise on topics related to intergenerational trauma, childhood abuse and emotional neglect, boundaries, rupture and repair in relationships. She understands parent-adult child estrangement from clinical and lived experience, and navigating the process of acceptance, grieving and regaining a sense of personal boundaries and control amidst estrangement. The topic is sensitive, painful, and Andrea feels passionate about creating a non-judgmental and compassionate space for processing having no contact with an adult child.
